Slack (Webhook)
Send alert notifications to a Slack channel via an incoming webhook.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Webhook URL | Yes | Slack incoming webhook URL |
| Channel | No | Override the default channel |
Slack messages include alert name, status (firing/resolved), severity, value,
threshold, description, labels, and a link to open the alert in KubeSense. When
multiple alerts are batched, the title shows firing and resolved counts (e.g.,
[FIRING:6, RESOLVED:1] Logs Availability).
note: A Slack incoming webhook is bound to one channel, so alerting into several channels means creating one webhook (and one KubeSense channel) per Slack channel. To connect once and pick any channel, use Slack (App) instead.
Setup
- In Slack, create an Incoming Webhook for the target channel (Slack → Apps →
Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack), and copy the webhook URL (starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/). - In KubeSense, create a notification channel of type Slack (Webhook) and paste the URL.
- Click Test to confirm a message arrives.
Custom templates
Slack (Webhook) supports message templates (title + body) — see Templates.
